SqlDataSource controls

JR
I have a question with SqlDataSource controls. I have a SqlDataSource
control that has a select, insert and update parameters defined. This
is running with Visual Studio 2005 Team system and Net Framework 2.0.

My problem is I want to get the last generated Identity field from a
table =IDENT_current('tblname')=. I can put this command in the Select
Command but when I try execute it it wants more parameters. Example:
Results=SqlDataSource.Select() this is after
SqlDataSource.SelectCommand="IDENT_CURRENT('tbl').

Will not compile becuase it says it wants more input on the
SqlDataSource.Select but I think I have provided all that it should
need.

Can anyone clear this up for me. Also when I do INSERTS I don't get
errors but the inserts aren't there on the tables. But I guess that is
another question for another time.

Thanks,

Jim
