monitor excel

Hi

Here's what I actually want to do: I want to open an excel-template with
some vb.net-code. That works fine. Is it then possible to tell the
vb-net-prog when excel is closing? What I've in mind is a sort of an
event and excel plays the trigger...

Is that somehow possible?

thanks for your answers

or: is it possible to open excel while the vb.net-code is waiting?
