designer Reportviewer wont populate with runtime dataAdapter

Hello,

I started using the Reportviewer control (very nice) for generating
Reporting Services type reports in my VB2005 app. I have been experimenting
using a designer Reportviewer control from the toolbox - created at design
time - (VB2005) and also creating a Reportviewer control at runtime on the
fly. The runtime Reportviewer will populate/display data with a runtime
dataAdapter, but the designer Reportviewer from the toolbox is not
populating/displaying data with the runtime DataAdapter.

The designer Reportviewer from the toolbox only seems to populate/display
data if I use a designer TableDataAdapter created from the datasource wizard
in the Dataset created in the VS designer at design time.

Does anyone know if it is possible to populate a designer Reportviewer with
a runtime dataAdapter? And how this is done or why it can't be done?

Thanks,
Rich
