Send SMS from PC through fixed land line

Hi All

I live in Australia and our telcos now have the ability for you to send an
SMS from a fixed home phone to a mobile phone

You need an SMS enabled phone to do this but that is only so the text can be
entered and sent instead of just ringing the number

I want to be able to do this from my application when the users phone line
is connected to a PC modem in their computer

There is obviously some commands which tell the telcos exchange that an SMS
is being sent and not a normal phone connection

Does anybody have any experience with this?

Regards
Steve

Hi Steve,

Developing such an application depends on the SDK provided by the phone
operators. If they allow you to develop on this service, they will provide
documents and specifications, maybe also libraries that you can call.

In this case, it will be better to contact the operator on this issue.

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at
