Fails to create streamreader - The specified network name is no longer available

JR
Hello All -

Here's the deal. I got a .net windows service that reads files from a
unc share and writes them to another shared folder on the same box.
After about 24 hours we get "network name is no longer available"
errors when trying to create the filestream object. Goes away after 10
to 60 minutes. This happens to any server we point the service at and
stops happening when we stop the service. Anyone know of any gotchas or
limitations with using unc names? I want to avoid just posting a bunch
of code right off but i can certainly do that. This is where the
failure actually happens but the real problem lies elsewhere in the
code as this runs for hours, every 30 seconds without a problem. thanks
in advance for any insight you can offer.

Public Function GetFileContents(ByVal FullPath As String) As String

Dim strContents As String
Dim objReader As StreamReader
Try
objReader = New StreamReader(FullPath) <------ RIGHT THERE
strContents = objReader.ReadToEnd()
objReader.Close()
Return strContents
Catch Ex As Exception
ExceptionPublisher.Publish(Ex,
"ImagingPreScan.Service1.GetFileContents")
End Try

End Function
