VB web app not updating -- using XCopy to deploy

Hope someone can help me out with this. I made some minor
modifications to some underlying VB code for a web app -- no changes to
any .aspx pages were required. I then deployed the changes to a test
environment and everything worked fine. I used XCopy method to do this
-- Copied the project to a localhost directory, then copied the dll's
from there to the test environment. Like I said, after that the
changes were visible in the test area.

Now when I try to deploy the modifications to our prod environment,
they don't seem to showing up. The only difference in the steps was
that I changed the Solution Configuration from "Debug" to "Release."
Then followed the same steps -- copied to localhost, then moved the
dll's to prod. However, I can't get the modifications to show up.

Any ideas?
