I have achieved this previously in VB6 using a custom control that
allowed you to create the menu by specifying the menuid you wish to
create and the parent id to associate the new menu item with to create a
multi-level menu.
As a newcomer to .Net, is there an easy method to achieve the same
results. I have looked at the MenuItem and MainMenu objects/classes but
always seem to hit a problem. I only seem to get the code to work if
the menu items are read from the table in specific orders, which is not
always possible. The parent members will always appear first, but the
children may not be the next records for the parent that has just been
created.
Has anyone tried to do this, and if so can they provide some assistance
as I would be very grateful
