Rfc2898DeriveBytes

When convering a solution from VS2003 to VS2005 I get a warning that
Rfc2898DeriveBytes replaces PasswordDeriveBytes. This warning occurs in the
GetBytes() method.

My application is already deployed to a number of users where I am
encrypting photos in a database. Using the newer Rfc2898DeriveBytes class
does not return the same values for the keys as PasswordDeriveBytes even with
the same password and salt values in the constructor. This is
understandable, however, how can I use the newer class without breaking my
application?
