Common class library for different platform

I'm going to develop a common library for applications in both Windows and
Windows Mobile, this library will contain the bussiness rule only, which only
contain some simply mathematics, and it should be machine independent. The
common library should work even under the Compact Framework.

I have created a solution to contain both Windows & Windows Modile
application projects, and a seperate project for the common library. There
has a problem that I don't know which type of project I should used.

I have try to create a SmartDevice Class Library, then I try to add
reference to the application, it was rejected when adding to the Windows
Application. And I cannot add to the SmartDevice application if I define the
library as Windows Class Library.

Since the business rule should be identical in both platform, I'd like to
maintain a single source for both applicaiton.

May I know if there has any solution in VS 2005 that I can create a common
libary for both Windows & SmartDevice application in this situation.

Thanks in advance!
