Off Topic - sorry

Hi All.
Apologies if this posting is not appropriate to this particular list. I know
that may of you however will have done this, and I have had great advice in
the past from you guys, so I hope you don't mind me asking...

I am looking for a stating point in terms of setting up the credit card
purchasing part of an asp.net web site.

I have not done this before and wonder where to start?

If anyone could point me in the right direction (politely!) I would be very
grateful.

There are many 3rd party providers. For instance, you setup an account with
a company like https://www.secpay.com and use their servers to process your
transactions.
