Calling functions from unmanaged static lib code

We use an application built to call functions from s static lib file.
That works fine except when we port that app to VB.NET Since VB.NET
uses DLL's rather than static libs, I was wondering if it were possible
to call the functions from the lib file instead. Doing this would
prove whether I have a marshal issue rather than a library issue.

Thanks in advance
