sockets 2003 to 2005 problem

Hi

Using the socket examples found in the 101 VB examples from microsoft I have
build a server/client comms program. This worked fine in studio 2003 but
since I upgraded to 2005 and converted the apps they no longer talk.
Does anyone know of any reasons why this may happen?

Thanks in advance
