lost in space...

hey all,

i'm having trouble reading this article because i'm very ignorant on the
topic of automation. however, i'm trying...here's the article:
http://www.gekko-software.nl/Delphi/Art01.htm

Close to the top of the article is a section named-
Wrapping the functionality in an automation object
The very first sentence:
I will add an automation object to the app using the Delphi wizard.
What would be .Net or Microsoft way of doing this?
