There is a new one out for 2005 but I vaguely recall how to use the
printdocument. It's one of the few areas where I think that VB6 was
simply tons better. I just like the printer object; it made a lot of
sense. Having an event called to print a page doesn't seem to work as
well for me as a procedural style. Maybe it's just a case of getting
used to it.

Rather than do that I've been using the ReportViewer for simple to
medium complex reports.

Printing envelopes isn't quite the same as printing other things
though. It's going to require a particular type of feed rather than a
tray, and different sizes of envelopes likey have standard printing
locations. Rather than try to reinvent envelope printing I figured
that I'd ask for whatever knowledge folks have picked up on the
subject. Thanks for replying though.

I'd tend to write one as the very last resort. Even MS Works will do this
fine - for $10!

Oh yes, quite. But I want it as part of the integrated app. Sending
out a letter is part of the workflow and offering to print the
envelope would be a nice thing to do. Right now whenever I need to
print an envelope I start up Word. That's really overkill.
