HelpMaker Question

Don

After seeing a recent post "Re: Best value Help file builder" I
downloaded and installed HelpMaker on WinXP Pro (no SP) and am
receiving the below error when I try to run it. I emailed Vizacc
support but haven't heard from them yet.

Aby help will be appreciated.

Application error:

"The procedure ImmReleaseContext could not be located in the dll
imm32.dll"

The file I downloaded is: avhelp72002.exe

Your web page said it is 10MB but the file is actually 6,497 KB.

Is there something else that I need to download?

Thanks,
Don

I had this problem too some time ago. Turned out to be a corrupted Windows
installation. After reinstalling Windows the problem (and a few others)
disappeared.

For HelpMaker there is a quite active newsgroup on news.vizacc.com called
vizacc.public.helpmaker

Hi Martin,

I searched the web interface for the vizacc newsgroup and found a
message referring to a special install file for people that have this
problem.

Here's the url:

http://www.vizacc.com/downloads/avhelp71475a.exe

If the fix would have required a reinstall of Windows I'm afraid that
HelpMaker would be starring up out of the dank, smelly old bit bucket.
<g>

Thank you,

Don
