SQL Server 2000 inutizado ... ¿Qué puedo hacer?

Hola, tengo un problema un tanto "raro".

Tenia instalado un SQL Server 2000 Developer en mi XP Pro que me funcionaba
perfectamente y me ideal para las pruebas de aplicaciones; pero ayer me
descarge la demo de 180 dias de SQL Server 2005 y la instale; pues bien, hoy
ya tenia mucho problemas para trabajar normamente con la version 2000.
Después de intentar re-instalar el SP4 para ver si arreglaba algo y de
desintalar el SQL 2005, todo seguia más o menos igual.

Pues no se me ocurre otra cosa que desistalarlo completo (el SQL 2000) y
reinstalarlo completo. Para mi sorpresa la instalación no llega a terminar;
no entiendo que puede pasar. El LOG de errores que me a creado termina así:

2006-03-16 11:06:34.82 spid3 Se restauró el índice para
Northwind.Suppliers.
2006-03-16 11:06:37.00 spid3 Default collation successfully changed.
2006-03-16 11:06:37.04 spid3 Recuperación completa.
2006-03-16 11:06:37.25 spid3 Warning: override, autoexec procedures
skipped.
2006-03-16 11:06:58.39 spid3 SQL Server is terminating due to 'stop'
request from Service Control Manager.

¿Qué me esta pasando?. ¿Cómo lo arreglo para poder instalar correctamente el
servidor?

Este grupo es en inglés, usa los que llevan ".es" en el nombre.
