I have a very simple application that simply gets the maximum value from a
SQL table on a specific server, increments it by one and displays it in a
form. The app runs fine on my development machine (XP Pro) and even from a
test server running Windows 2000. However, when I try to run it on a Windows
Server 2003, I get a message from CLR Debugging that it has generated an
exception that cannot be handled. It references a Process id = 0x1344(4932)
and Thread id = 0x175c(5980)
I thought that maybe the .Net framework wasn't installed, but the OS informs
me that it's part of the original OS. Where can I look to find out what's
wrong before I just re-write the app in VB 6?
Also, exactly what files need to be installed with the .Net executable? I
know in ASP.NET I have to include pretty much everything.
