Read Remote Web Share

Is there a way in vb.net to read a remote dir file listing that has web
sharing enabled on a web server?
If I place files in the remote web shared directory, how can I read
filenames like they way it is done using the DIR command for the local
drive..
The dir command doesn't work...
Thanks, BUC
