I am not sure if this should be under the SourceSafe or the VB.NET
forum, so I will post to both and hope someone has the answer:
I have a VB.NET project stored under SourceSafe - Let's say the name of
the solution and project is 'XYZ Project 2004 .NET'. Now, what I need
to do is CHANGE the name of this solution/project tom something else -
for laughs lets say I want to change it to 'XYZ Project .NET' (i.e.
remove the 2004 part).
Since this is under source control (SourceSafe) exactly what are the
steps I need to do to successfully rename this project so that it is
correct both under the .NET IDE and under SourceSafe? I am hesitant to
just go in and start changing things in the IDE since I don't know what
that will do to the actual name(s) under source control.
If someone knows the steps to do this then I would greatly appreciate
it. Thanks in advance.
