Moving a structure to string and vice versa...

I have the following record layout:
Structure Record31
<VBFixedString(2)> Dim RecordType As String
<VBFixedString(8)> Dim PayorBankRoutingNumber As String
<VBFixedString(1)> Dim PayorBankRoutingNumberCheckDigit As String
<VBFixedString(20)> Dim OnUsReturnRecord As String
<VBFixedString(10)> Dim ItemAmount As String
<VBFixedString(1)> Dim ReturnReason As String
<VBFixedString(2)> Dim ReturnRecordAddendumCount As String
<VBFixedString(1)> Dim ReturnDocumentationTypeIndicator As String
<VBFixedString(8)> Dim ForwardBundleDate As String
<VBFixedString(15)> Dim ECEInstitutionItemSequenceNumber As String
<VBFixedString(1)> Dim ExternalProcessingCode As String
<VBFixedString(1)> Dim ReturnNotificationIndicator As String
<VBFixedString(1)> Dim ReturnArchiveTypeIndicator As String
<VBFixedString(9)> Dim Reserved As String
End Structure

I read the data into a string variable. Now, I would like to move it this
record layout. Is there an easy way to do it?

Thanks,
Paddy
