HI all,
I have a remotable class in a dll on server with an app.config file that I
use to set my remoting settings. I call this from a simple client app.
Both use configuration files. The dll on server uses a web.config, and my
client uses an app.config file.
I thought it was all working until I physically moved the remotable class to
a new server.
The first test went okay so I thought, then I removed the first set of
numbers out of the IP Address out of the url attribute to see what would
happen after rebuilding. I still connected somehow. Is it possible that I
am only connecting to thelocal referenced copy of the remote dll instead of
talking to the one I moved? How can I determine if this is the case?
Also, I know it is reading the app.config file because I removed it
completely and it failed right away. But even though the wrong IP is in
there it worked? I need understanding of this.
Cheers, Joe
