Hi all.
[I'm using VB 2005 Express Edition, and Outlook 2003]
I'm a newbie at VB.net, so please forgive me if this is well documented
somewhere.
I've found some sample code on the MS site for iterating over each
unread item in the Inbox, and that's working and got me started well in
automating Outlook 2003.
However, I want to obtain the Subject of the currently selected email
message in Outlook.
I can't find any useful references to how I determine the currently
selected item - if someone can give me some sample code, or even just
refer me to where exactly all this is documented, that would be great.
(I do, of course, suppose that there is some event mechanism so that
Outlook would pass me an event when this changes, rather than my
program having to monitor it continually? I further suppose that this
is a lot more complex? Any pointers would be appreciated here too, but
this is only a little application for me to try something out, so I'm
not desperate to do it the best-possible way - just the simplest way!)
Any advice will be warmly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Neil.
