Sending {BACKSPACE} to Windows XP Media Center

P: n/a
Hi there,

I've developing an application that translates keystrokes sent from my
TV card remote control to Windows XP Media Center, since the two are
not compatible. I've successfully been able to use
System.Windows.Forms.SendKeys.Send to send keypresses to Windows XP
Media Center, except for the backspace character that I need when
searching e.g. song titles.

If I try using System.Windows.Forms.SendKeys.Send("{BS}") or
System.Windows.Forms.SendKeys.Send("{BACKSPACE}") or
System.Windows.Forms.SendKeys.Send("{BKSP}") into another application
such as Notepad, everything works fine. But somehow Windows XP Media
Center does not react to this particular command, even though it reacts
fine when sending e.g. alpha characters with
System.Windows.Forms.SendKeys.Send("A").

Does anyone know why this is and if there's anyway to get around it?
Any ideas or tips are appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
