Project Notes and Journals

Hello:
Using Express editions, VB.net on XP Pro.-

What technique do you find productive and efficient for taking and searching
notes in your projects?

I have too many paper notebooks. Task descriptions are too short. Notes are
usually one or two paragraphs, but sometimes get longer. I would like to
keep the notes with the projects as a separate file that can be easily
accessed, as in putting it in the Solution Explorer.

I thought of using a simple text file, or a simple HTML file, but I also
thought that the community might have more sophisticated ways to keep
project notes and journals.

Thank you,

Dennis D.,
