Accessing a web service, I'm lost!

Help

I'm trying to access a web service from an ASPX page using VB!

So far I have got
<%@ Page Language="VB" %>

<%@ Import Namespace="system.IO" %>

<%@ Import Namespace="System.Web.Services" %>

<%@ Import Namespace="System.Web.Services.Description" %>

<%@ Import Namespace="System.Web.Services.Protocols" %>

<%@ Import Namespace="system.net" %>

Private Function GetInfo(ByVal info As String) As String

Dim UserName As String = "abc"

Dim Password As String = "xyz"

Dim credentials As NetworkCredential = New NetworkCredential(UserName,
Password)

Dim cc As CredentialCache = New CredentialCache

What I need to find out is what comes next to allow me initiate the call to
the web service and read the response!

I want to do it all in the single page so I guess I can't declare a web
reference which is what all the examples I can find do!!?

So I'm lost

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
