This has been bothering me for some time now and perhaps someone can help me.
I'm using VB.Net. I created a form that I will be using to call all the rest
of my forms from. (MainMenu). Then I began creation of one of the forms to be
called. (CustomerMaintenance). On CustomerMaintenance I have 4 panels and in
each of those panels I have about 10 text boxes and 10 labels. When I do a
CustomerMaintenance.Show on my MainMenu, CustomerMaintenance comes up but
there is a half-second delay while all the text boxes are displayed. I have
no code under CustomerMaintenance yet so that can't be the problem. I'm
running a 2.4 GHz PC with 512 memory. You would think the display would be a
lot quicker. When I bring up VB.Net's About Screen it's instantaneous. I
always had a similar problem in VB6 but I would use Refresh in the
ActivateForm section and it was less noticeable. Could someone please give me
some ideas, or is this just typical VB.Net? Thank you...
