TabControl - cannot delete controls

I have a Windows Form project with a TabControl-based window. After adding a
second tab, I can no longer copy/paste/delete controls, either on the
original tab or after they have been added to any tab in any form. These
options are disabled from menus for this form only (others are ok). Anyone
know why this might be happening?

I experimented by deleting the second tab through the Properties window,
closed Visual Studio, and re-opened my project and I can copy/paste/delete
from the first (and now only) tab. I then added a second tab, and *after*
clicking on the new second tab and returning to the first, the problem
returns.

If I then close-reopen VS, copy/paste/etc are ok upon first opening this
form, but are disabled after I activate the second tab.

FYI, I tried creating a blank project and creating a multi-tab form and had
no issues, even after copying/pasting the controls from the other form's
first tab (after deleting the second tab and closing/opening VS).

I saw where someone posted about this about a year ago without any useful
information coming in reply. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!

Tim
