Backup SQL Server Database

Dear Experts

I have a SQL Server DataBase and I have maked a VB interface to it
Now I want to perform a backup operation to my DataBase using the code
that mean I want to make a SQL Server backup File on my disk to restore
database from.

This depends on how you want to backup. Do you want to safe it by
SQL-Commands in a textfile? Or the second thing is (just know that from
mySQL-Servers) just to copy some systemfiles and move it to another
Directory/server......?

I would made it by SQL Command in a string from VB net.
