What is missing in VB express?

P: n/a
I don't get what is left out of VB express to be released 5 weeks from
now. Suggested customers are students and hobbyists, so is there some
full featured version that will be released around the same time, and
if so what are the gaps?

Visual Studio adds more project types, ability to do C#, C++, J#, VB and web
projects in one environment. But fundamentally it's about productivity and
ease of use. Visual Studio is just a development environment, it exists to
help you do things more easilly and quickly. The compilers and runtime are
all part of the .NET framework. If you are willing to write code in Notepad
and use command line tools, you can create any .NET application with just
the .NET Framework SDK.
