Split button problem

Hi

vs2005 rc. When I click on a "New" split button on the BindingNavigator a
button_click event is produced and therefore a new record is added by the
BindingNavigator. However when I click on the drop down part (down arrow) of
the split button a button_click event is still produced and a new record is
still added, while the purpose of clicking on the drop down is simply to
display the drop down menu for further selection and not to add a new
record. How can I ensure that clicking on the drop down part does not cause
the BindingNavigator to add a new record?

Thanks

Regards
