If I install Visual Studio 2005 on same machine as VS 2003, will I still be
able to use Vs2003 exactly as before or will the 2005 install do an upgrade
to my 2003 install?

Both versions should peacefully coexist on the same machine.

It will install as a seperate DEV environment

i have currently on one of my machines

VS6 enterprise , VS.Net 2003 enterprise architect and VS.Net 2005 team
system running ( MSDN Version ) side by side and they seem to like each
other :-)

however on my main development machine i do not run beta products as i can`t
take anny chance that something might get corrupted

Thank you both,

I'll wait for the final release then before I install.
