which method or property in the DataGrid returns the number of rows in it!!!?

You have to get it from the datasource.

If your datasource is a DataTable then:
DirectCast(Datagrid.DataSource, DataTable).Rows.Count

otherwise replace DataTable with whatever type is in the datasource.
