Client server communications using and active x control

P: n/a

Is it possible to implement a server initiated communication to a
client which is a active control.

I have a web application which must drop a client onto a pc and then
send commands to the client to do system level functions.

At present i use wmi on the server though to send remote wmi
calls to the client. This works but i feel is not an elegant solution.
Can i drop an activex control a machine and then send remote calls to
that activex control.

This is assuming the control has been give the rights to the local
system of course.
