OOOO a fun problem. LOL
what need to have happen
you need to have the debug server installed on the windows 2003 box
you get that from the visual studio install.
In my case I did not want to mess with anything so I just Installed the full
version of visualstudio 2003 on my windows 2003 box.
But I know that there are just debugging server on the vs install. So you
can try the custom install of just the debug server and see what happenes.
You do not want vs help on you sever tho.
Being part of the domain should not matter, make a passthrough with your
account. Meaning you make your same user name and password on the 2003 box
and give your self admin rights.
The WWWROOT$ must be shared on the 2003 box.. or where ever you are putting
your projects.
I would suggest the standard install
Need to Make sure your Network_SErvices had R/W permissions to WWWRoot...
<-- might just be the project directory not 100% on that.. so just give it
to WWWroot
I think that should do it.. post back if does not work.

We have an in-place, web application on a Windows 2003 server. The
previous
developer had not set up for debugging. However, when I try, I get...
Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web
server. Access is denied. Verify that you are an administrator or a member
of
the 'Debugger Users' group on the machine you are trying to debug. After
being added to the 'Debugger Users' group, you must log off and log back
on
for the setting to apply.
I knew I should have installed VS help!
At any rate, the server is not part of the domain, but I am personally an
admin on it. I'm assuming that is not the account that needs the
prvilidge,
but am unsure which one does.
Can anyone help? Thanks!
