Setup / Installer Question

when creating an installer for your solution, how can you make it create an
entry on the programs listing or a desktop icon?

Thanks,
Brian

If you use the setup wizard, on completion you should be viewing the File
System Editor, if not, just select it from the 1st icon at the head of the
properties windows.

You should then see three 'folders', named Application Folder, User's
Desktop and User's Programs Menu.

For adding an entry on the programs menu, right click the User's Programs
Menu and select >Add >Project Output(most likely!). You will then select the
primary output from your project.

For an icon on the desktop, which is infact a shortcut to your app. Whilst
still in the Users Programs Menu, select the output file that was just
created for you, right click and select Create Shortcut .............. Once
the shortcut is created drag the created shortcut to the User's Desktop
folder, and Voila!!!!!

Good luck and HTH.
