The Beta is gone live.

It means for me that this is than a regular newsgroup.
If somebode does not agree with me, feel free to tell.

There is a whidbey visualbasic newsgroup. It is a private
newsgroup that you need to be in the whidbey beta program to get the
password to access.

microsoft.private.whidbey.visualbasic

However you may also want to ask in the VS 2005 specific forums at:

My understanding is that the Whidbey newsgroups that Ken references have
been "shut down" for a number of months now in favor of the above forums.
