MDI Closing

Hello:

I have an MDI application. The application has a MDI Parent and several MDI
children forms. While the MDI parent makes sure that all child forms are
closed before the application shuts down, the child forms' closing event
makes sure the user is presented with an option to save the data on them
should they have changed.

I found the following behavior:

1. When the MDI parent window is closed, the active MDI form's closing event
kicks in, unloading the form. But this does not reduce the .Children.Count
number.
2. So, when the MDI's closing tries to close down each one of the MDI
children, it comes across objects that are not initialized and it raises an
error.

Can somebody elaborate on this behavior?

Thanks.
