Using Radio buttons in template column in a DataGrid

I have a datagrid which i have added a extra template column to which
was a radio button in it.

The end user should use the radio button to select one of the items and
then click a button to process that item

i am struggling to assign a unique id to each radio button as the id
property of a asp.net radiobutton does not accepts a dynamic id using
databinder.eval , the text property will but i can't use that to
evaluate which button was pressed

has anyone used radio button in datagrids before with success?
