datagrid et VB.NET

Hi,

I would like to use the DataGrid class to display the content on my XML
file.

but i would like to use it in such way :
1st column is not editable (and could be considered as header)...it just
displays the XML node name

2nd column should display the value of these XML node and allow user to
change the values. So this column should allow editmode.

How can i do the 1st column with same design as the column header ? (i
mean not editable, and with particular background color, forecolor or
font type)

thanks a lot,
Maileen

Maileen,

It is not imposible however a lot of work.
First do you have to rotate the datatable in the dataset

See this link for that on our website.
http://www.windowsformsdatagridhelp....8-2b9e762316ab

Than would you have to use table styles (search yourself on our site for
samples for that), than you have to rotate the datatable back to its
original format to write the dataset back.

And this all assuming that your XML file has the dataset format.

However, I hope that this helps,

setup it correctly, to make my 1st column like headers.

could you help me please ?
thanks,
Maileen

Maileen,

I told you that it is a lot of work, and probably it is not real nice.

You can look at our site how to handle styles. Just search for style on that
and you get a lot of samples.

I am not interested in this, I will help people however not be hours busy to
build a strange datagrid that I never will use myself.

Sorry

Cor
