..NET is heavily borrowed from java and delphi
so you should thank Sun and Borland for giving MS good ideas to "borrow"

eh-hem?

What is borrowing what you don't give back? I don't see more Java
developers than any other language ever invented. And I believe that
Java has 'borrowed' some things from Microsoft as well... And delphi is
just plain boring. Obsolete technology is, in my opinion, free to pick
over for features that went down with the ship.

Huh?! .NET is heavily borrowed from Classic VB too. .NET is simply a
state-of-the-art class library and runtime environment while Java, Delphi,
and Classic VB are ancient things.
