How to get permission for remote app to execute?

I've got a small pc audit app sitting on a server. I'd like to create a
shortcut to it on each PC on the network. But I get a permission error
when trying to run the program unless I copy it down to the local hard
drive.

How can my app get permission to execute on a pc when launched from a
remote directory?

You need to adjust the security.

Open the Control Panel
Open Administrative tools
Open Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 Wizards
Click Adjust .Net Security
click Next
Select Local Intranet
Change the level of trust to Full
click next
click Finish
