Need to change a registry permission on install

Hello,
can someone point me in the right direction on how to change the permissions
on a particular registry key during installation? There is a key under:
HKLM\SOFTWARE called ccgis that I need to allow machine\users group to write
to.
If I have to I can write a custom action in a dll and include it in the
setup but it would be nice to have the install itself do it.
OS = XP
Install is a VS deployment projects
..NET ver = 1.1

Any help appreciated

Thanks
Steve

This is something that you should ask in a MSI group, try
microsoft.public.platformsdk.msi .
