Inherited DataSets vs. [CLR 1.1] Remoting

What I'd /like/ to do is to create my own classes derived from
DataSet, DataTable and DataRow with "useful", extra bits bolted in.

I /think/ I can do this (I've figured out the "difficult" adding-rows
bit), although I'm not sure about adding my custom Tables, yet.

Then, I'd like to pass these classes around using ".Net Remoting".

From what I've read thus far, I /think/ I might fall flat here because,
whilst I can derive from, say, DataTable, I can't override the
Constructor that deserializes "my" class, as opposed to the "base"
class. Or can I?

TIA,
Phill W.
