timer.start and thread

I have windows.forms.timer on my form and this code

Private Sub Timer1_Tick(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As
System.EventArgs) Handles Timer1.Tick
Timer1.Stop()
Recieve.Start()
End Sub

Receive is Thread. How from thread to start timer again. In my thread I have
timer1.start but that won't do it
Any help

Try "invoking" a method on your form from the thread that starts up the
timer.
