Caching errors

I want to be able to cache a queue in a VB.Net application. I assume I need
to use system.web.caching.

I can create a cache: myCache = new Cache
But I can't access it: isnothing(myCache) returns false but
myCache.Count, isnothing(myCache.Count), myCache(<key>) = <queue object>,
etc, all cause a NullReference Exception.

What am I missing?
