I have a web form with text boxes and buttons. The platform is VB.NET 2003
using inline coding, not code-behind.
In a Page_Load() routine, I wanted to emulate a user clicking a display
button, so by trial and error, I found the following statement:
btnDisplay_Click(sender, e)
This appeared to work superficially, but some odd things would happen to the
functionality of the form. So, with further trial and error, I moved the
statement from outside the 'If Not IsPostBack' block to inside the block.
Now the statement appears to work as expected.
However, it bothers me a little bit that I have so little understanding what
is going on when I use this statement. Can somebody expain it? For
example, how is it I can use the parameters 'sender' and 'e' without ever
declaring them?
Thanks to all,
Dave
