Opening a PowerPoint Slide Show from VB.Net App

I'm trying to open a slide show from an application but I am receiving an
error when tring to reference the PowerPoint.Presentation object. I'm not
sure if it a framework, registry, or version issue. Or I could be off on all
my guesses. I think if I can get this error fixed the code "should" work.

Error:
COM object with CLSID {91493444-5A91-11CF-8700-00AA0060263B} is either not
valid or not registered.

Line Throwing Error:
Dim pptPres As New PowerPoint.Presentation

Full Code:
Dim pptApp As New PowerPoint.Application
Dim pptPres As New PowerPoint.Presentation
Dim slideShow As PowerPoint.SlideShowWindow

pptPres = pptApp.Presentations.Open("filename")
pptApp.Activate()
slideShow = pptApp.SlideShowSettings.Run
slideShow.View.First()
