Kodak/Imaging Reset Scanning Area?

Does anyone know how to reset the scanning area before starting the scan?
I'm trying to develop my app to scan without prompting for area/setup
information but when I scan it is using the previous area that was used so
my images are cropped, instead of using the full scan area. I've tried
using resetscanner() but didn't seem to help. Any ideas? Thanks
