Windows Media Player in VB.NET

Hi there,

I'm using the "Msdxm.ocx" to host Windows media player within VB.NET. I
was hoping that this would be a bit newer than the interface I have been
presented with, as well as it not supporting certain Windows Media files.
Has anyone got any information on using a newer version in VB.NET? For
example, is there an OCX for media player 10 available? Thanks in advance,
my only other option for this is to develop my own.

Have you looked at the Windows Media Player SDK?

Here's the link:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...layer10sdk.asp

You can download the SDK here:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...t/winmedia.asp

I hope this helps

Not to worry, I found it now. I downloaded the WMP 10 SDK and there was a
nice sample within. Cheers.

Nick.

Download the WMP10 SDK or if you have WMP9/10, the COM object for it
should be avaialable as wmp.dll
