open web folder

In Internet Explorer I can open an https web site as a web folder and copy
files to it.

How can I do this in code with VB.net?

(I also put this question in VB6 news group; I apologize if this is regarded
as a crosspost, but I would like to find out for both)

Thanks
Bill

In IE, I

1. Go to internet explorer

2. go to file, open

3. type in the URL

4. check "open as a web folder"

5. click OK

6. log in with your user name

7. put in the password

8. click ok

9. copy files in to the web folder

Bill,

I thought I have seen your qeustion at least this in this newsgroup or in
another dotnet one however not anymore where.

You tell you are crossposting, that you are not, you are multiposting. What
is not liked in most newsgroups. Crossposting is sending one message to more
newsgroups so that all can learn from the answer from it and as well see
when there is alreay an answer.

I am sorry if you are upset, and thank you for the clarification. You have
not seen this question posted by me in any other newsgroups. If someone
else posted it, I couldn't find it (and I tried).

I am asking how to do this in VB.NET and also in VB6, which I presume will
be two completely different responses. I don't think I will get a VB6
response in a VB.NET newsgroup, and vice-versa. I don't actually consider
this 'multi-posting'

I try to adhere to newsgroup etiquette and not abuse the resource.

Please reconsider your admonishment.

Now can you help me?

Bill,

It is not an admonishment (wat een mooi woord) that I cannot do and although
I could, I would not. It is only to tell you the difference, from your first
message I did not see any wrong about it.

I have searched already for the answer on it. I remembered it me because I
did not know that it could and it was in a message. However in my mind comes
at the moment not the key to find it back.

Therefore I wait with you on an answer. When it is not found maybe I try it
than again.

Bill,

I got the keywords again from it. I don't think that it real fits your
question however beside that is it maybe interesting to see the thread. Some
messages are disapeared. The top poster is my idea not the OP.

However I hope it helps something although it is even a very little bit.
